Description
76AH3007 Oxford Diecast Austin Healey 3000 Florida Green/Ivory White
A replica of the ‘big ‘Austin Healey produced at the BMC Abingdon Works between 1959 and 1967, our latest 1:76 scale model is registered 899 DYM.  It appears in a vibrant colour scheme with a jade upper body and cream lower section, with contrasting black interior including the seats, folded roof and tonneau cover. Fine details include a copper brown dashboard and silver/brown steering wheel.  The red and silver Austin Healey 3000 badge sits on the edge of the bonnet above the oval chrome finished radiator grille, while across the rear, the Austin Healey signature is printed diagonally across the lower right boot section. The remaining exterior trim is finished in chrome
During its production life, the car changed from an open sports car to a sports convertible. It also had a 2+2 option although rear space was very small.  By the early 1960s, over 90% of all Austin-Healey 3000 cars were exported – mostly to North America. The 3-litre 3000 was a highly successful car, loved not only  by the private motorist but favoured on the track too, where it won its class in many European rallies in its heyday and is still raced in classic car competitions by enthusiasts today.
