| This item is based on Peco’s 10ft wheelbase 7 plank open wagon, representing one of a batch of 50 wagons built in 1911, and registered for use by the Midland Railway. The Middleton Colliery site is now the location of the Middleton Railway, one of the UK’s oldest heritage railways, near Leeds, West Yorkshire. Peco’s model faithfully represents the prototype, with its red body and white-shaded-black text, numbered as 613, and comes complete with a coal load. | |
